I am a retired nuclear reactor operator-a very technical, male-dominated profession.  After 32 years, I was ready to do my own thing.  I said many times, "I don't have a creative bone in my body," and honestly believed it.

 

My son and I took a trip to Europe for my 60th birthday, and I took hundreds of photos that I wasn't very happy with.  I got a better camera.  When I realized there was no change in the quality of my images with the new camera, I was determined to get training and learn as much as I could.  Many classes, workshops and gear purchases later, I started taking photos that I was actually proud of.  

 

I'm happy to say that I do have some creativity in me, it was just hiding underneath my work/marriage/kids non-stop life.  Now I get to shoot to my heart's content, and hopefully share my hard-earned and delightful experiences with you!
