Fine Art Photography, Huh?

I was hesitant to call my work “fine art photography”. It sounded ostentatious. But when I googled it, this is what I found:


“Fine art photography focuses on the aesthetic and conceptual aspects of the image, often with the goal of conveying emotions, ideas or artistic interpretations, as opposed to purely functional or commercial purposes.”


So yes, that is me. I guess “fine” doesn’t mean comparable with Ansel Adams or any of those other guys whose images are famous and really expensive. It just means I’m expressing myself through my photos, and my interpretations of what I see. I’m on board with that.


I just didn’t want people to waste their time looking at my site for portrait or wedding photo shoots. I may possibly get into that someday, but not right now. There's way too much going on. :)
